Nature first. Always.
Into The Hide exists because we love nature — the silence, the presence, the privilege of witnessing wildlife as it is. Wildlife photography is powerful. It can inspire care, curiosity and protection. But it also comes with responsibility.
That’s why we choose a simple principle:
The welfare of animals and ecosystems is always more important than any photograph.
This page explains how we try to live that principle, together with our community, photographers and hide owners.
Transparency & Intention
We want to be open about why we do what we do.
Our intention is to:
celebrate nature and wildlife
inspire people to slow down, observe and connect
support ethical wildlife photography
build a community that learns and grows together
do all of this in a way that benefits nature — not harms it
If we ever use affiliate links or paid partnerships, we will always:
clearly label them
only work with partners who align with our values
never allow commercial interest to override ethics or honesty
We believe people deserve honesty. So we will always choose transparency over fine print.
Our Ethics & Fieldcraft Charter
This is not a rulebook.
It is a shared commitment — a compass we try to follow.
We believe in:
Respect for wildlife and habitat
We avoid disturbance, stress or interference — especially during breeding, feeding and winter.
Observation before outcome
We prioritise silence, patience and presence — not chasing images.
Responsible sharing
We avoid revealing sensitive locations if this could put wildlife at risk.
No harmful practices
We discourage behaviour such as baiting, flushing or manipulating animals for photos.
Respect for people & place
We respect local communities, landowners, guides and laws.
Kindness & humility
We treat others with respect, and we recognise that we are all still learning.
Photographers, hide owners and community members are invited — if they feel aligned — to endorse this charter as a shared commitment to nature-first photography.
Giving Back to Nature & Conservation
Wildlife photography exists because wild places still exist.
As the project grows, we aim to:
collaborate with NGOs and conservation groups
support projects that protect ecosystems
highlight organisations doing meaningful work
donate to conservation initiatives where possible
We want this platform to give back more than it takes.
Responsible Hide Selection
Hides can be wonderful tools — when used responsibly.
Whenever we feature hides, we actively encourage practices that:
protect animal welfare
avoid disturbance
respect ecological sensitivity
operate within local regulations
contribute positively to conservation or community
Our intention is not to judge or police, but to celebrate and amplify ethical practice — and to keep learning together.
If you ever see something we should know about, we welcome respectful dialogue. We are here to grow, improve and listen.
This Is a Shared Journey
We are building a community of people who care about wildlife — not just the images of it. We won’t always be perfect. None of us are. But we can choose to act with intention, honesty and respect.
If this resonates with you, you are exactly the kind of person we hope to welcome.
Nature first.Always.
